Forever In Her Heart

Posted by at 23rd June, 2008

On the last day of school, Tara’s playschool teacher, Kristi, gave all the kids a red glass heart and told them that it was to remind them that they were forever in her heart. Her gentle way of teaching and being with her playschool kids has left its imprints on their little hearts and souls as well.

As I finished this LO, Tara immediately asked me if I could take a picture of it. When we went outside to take the picture, I realized that she wanted me to take a picture of her next to it. You can see happiness and love radiating from her as she admires the LO. Just another reason why I am so thankful for the art of scrapbooking. Even though Kristi’s love is forever imprinted onto her soul, the memory of Kristi and Tara is forever preserved into a scrapbooking LO.

I Am Loved

Posted by at 21st June, 2008

When I first looked at this picture after it was taken, I saw from a different perspective how much my daughters love me. Although I already feel and know their love me, it was nice to have a picture that captured the essence of it.

Sometimes when creating intentions, it is important to recognize and acknowledge situations that are being experienced in the present moment. My intention for this scrapbook LO is to anchor the feeling of being well loved on a deeper and stronger level. By acknowledging the present experience and using my intention to sustain the feeling of being loved, I am creating the potential for many future outcomes of similar experiences. Feeling loved is something money cannot buy. It is my desire to always attract and create moments like this throughout my life. I am so happy that I can use scrapbooking as a tool to cultivate feelings and certain states of mind.

How To Visualize and What to Avoid

Posted by at 6th June, 2008

When you learn how to visualize it can seem a little overwhelming. After all, it means changing the habits of your entire thought process. That is not something that many people can easily do! Don’t worry, it is entirely possible for you to use the right techniques as long as you know what to avoid.

  1. Not fully trusting in the Law of Attraction

The first mistake that people make is not fully trusting in the law of attraction. Society puts a lot of doubts into your mind and it can be very hard to believe that you can basically order what you want. Even if you have the best intentions to try this out you can really mess up your results by not fully believing. In order to get over this hump you need to think about what you have to lose. There are millions of people all over the world who successfully manifest what they want in life. All you need to do is take a chance and turn off your doubts.

  2. Don’t visualize in the right way

Another mistake that people make is when they don’t visualize in the right way. It can be frustrating to think about what’s “right” and “wrong” at first, but there are some quick fixes that will help you out. Part of the problem is not going into enough detail. You may tentatively start to visualize your desires in your mind, but when you’re vague to the universe you won’t get anything in return. Instead of just visualizing that you’d like a house, you need to walk through the house, smell it, feel the excitement and emotions you have about owning it, and really get the experience down. Once you do that you’ll be putting in the right kind of order to the universe.

  3. Losing focus

Something else that people get wrong is losing focus. If you think too long and hard about what you should and should not be doing to succeed with the law of attraction you’ll be in for a disappointing lack of results. You have to trust in your goals and focus yourself. Don’t get distracted by outside noise that says this doesn’t work!

Since you know what doesn’t work when you’re visualizing you should know how to visualize in the right way. The first thing you need to do is make a list of the things you want out of life. It doesn’t matter how big or how silly it seems to you now, as long as you’re able to focus and truly believe, you can have it for yourself.

Once you’ve figured out what you want you need to get away from the noise of the rest of world. Close your eyes and paint a very clear and detailed picture in your mind. See yourself getting exactly what you want just like with the new house example. As long as you feel the emotions and truly implant in your mind that you have exactly what you want you will have success.

Learning how to visualize can be intimidating but it will help to create a lot of success for you. Many people make mistakes along the way but you can learn to avoid them by following these different principles.

How to visualize.

Conscious Business: The Secret Internal Ingredient of Business Growth

Posted by at 4th June, 2008

When was the last time you heard someone talking about the proverbial “next level” in their business? Probably in the last 24 hours! Well, I don’t know about you… but I’m a little tired of hearing this phrase over and over again.

When I was in Las Vegas with my mastermind colleagues, we originally thought we were there to take our businesses to the “next level.” After all, isn’t that what mastermind groups are all about? Progress in your business! But, I soon began to notice something each time a colleague stood in front of the room to share… the realization of which leads me to third gift I received in Las Vegas.

Gift #3: The only “next level” is within YOU.

Colleague after colleague, each time someone stood in front of the room and started talking about where they were in their business, it became crystal clear that the only journey we were there to take was the journey within.

Many entrepreneurs (myself included) have made the mistake of thinking that business growth is something that you experience on the outside in terms of increased clients, more money, more web traffic, more referrals, more invitations to speak, more of whatever you desire in your business. And, yes, those things are all outward expressions of growth… but the only thing that SUSTAINS the external growth of a FULFILLING business is the internal growth of your soul. (Yes, this is why my new book is called The Freedom Formula: How to Put SOUL in Your Business and MONEY in Your Bank.)

Sustained, fulfilling growth does NOT come from what you DO in the external world; rather, it comes from the work you do on the inside. Sustained growth and the progress of your business’ evolution is less about the business than it is about YOU. As a conscious business owner, the only thing stopping you from all the success you desire is you, not your external circumstance.

Please forgive me if I’m coming on strong here, but I speak from my own experience. If you’ve been following me for any length of time, or have read my new book, you know that I have been through some very challenging times in my business… on the edge of bankruptcy and struggling to pay my rent. It wasn’t until I stopped TRYING to make my business work, (and started to INQUIRE WITHIN about where I needed to grow so that my business COULD grow)… that my business drastically changed for the better. So, now when I catch myself focused on the external aspects of my business, it’s a reminder for me that the growth isn’t going to occur “out there”, the growth is going to occur inside of me. Then, and only then, do I experience the results I desire on the outside.

So, the next time you find yourself wanting to get your business to the “next level”… it’s a sign that the time has come for you to go to the next level within yourself. Where do YOU need to go? What’s working? What’s not working? Why are you unfulfilled with the current state of your business? What would “light you up?” What old thoughts no longer serve you? It is this self-inquiry that leads you down the path to REAL, sustainable and fulfilling success.
