That is the title of my BEACH Notes this week over at Successful Blog. Last week my week was a little cloudly like the weather.
It is amazing how sometimes when you have lots of contrast, it is easier to get clarity
I wrote about being in one of my “overwhelm” states. HOW would I get everything completed IN TIME? I was feeling very cloudy and twitter, facebook and email were a great distraction.
The highway even got neglected. So I had lots of contrast along with lots of what I didn’t want.
I dumped everything on paper and now have a wonderful plan with things getting checked off. That makes me feel good and keeps the vibrations high.

My other excuse, pathetic as it maybe, I still seem to be spending too many minutes talking with the techies about % packet loss! We were back at dialup speed last week before finally Telstra admitted their was a line fault and we now have a new port. I wouldto say that it was like having a miracle wand wavedand voila we had a lightening fast connection. Looks like I have some serious allowing to do to attract that.
Now I must go and set up some websites as my interview by Raven Blair Davis from Careers from the Kitchen Table to be aired this week. Watch my tweets for more details as I am following someone special.

This came to my inbox this morning and I just love it. It’s an excerpt from the book “Money and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Health, Wealth and Happiness” by Jerry and Esther Hicks.
Love and appreciation are identical vibrations. Appreciation is the vibration of alignment with who-you-are. Appreciation is the absence of everything that feels bad and the presence of everything that feels good. When you focus upon what you want – when you tell the story of how you want your life to be – you will come closer and closer to the vicinity of appreciation, and when you reach it, it will pull you toward all things that you consider to be good in a very powerful way.
I find this to be so true.
I have a gratitude journal that I write in everyday…okay, not everyday, but 5 or 6 times/week! And what I’ve found in doing this is that out of the blue, almost when it’s least expected, I’ll have this overwhelming feeling of appreciation. It’s this amazing feeling that just comes over me out of nowhere. Sometimes it’ll last for just a few seconds, and other times it’ll stay with me longer.
It makes me smile just thinking about it!
Each journal entry starts with “I’m so happy & thankful now that…”. I’ll list things that have happened (or I’ve gotten), things I currently have, things I want to happen, and how I want my life to be. So it’s important to understand that it doesn’t just have to be things that have happened, but how you want your future to be…all put into the present moment.
My suggestion today…get a gratitude journal! Quick!

You’re my faaaaaaavorite,” I whispered to Sadie this morning as she rested her head on my knee after breakfast. She thumped her tail as if in collusion. She knows my world rises and sets with her.
While I was reveling how much I love this girl I remembered how just last night I shared in a hushed voice to my girlfriend’s husband (who was debating what my pit bull mix’s lineage might be) that “Joe is my favorite.” (I said it while the other dogs were out back so they didn’t hear!)
And yet, the truth is, we all know … Koda is the best dog ever. That’s why his photo is on my debit card! (”Is this your dog?” every cashier can’t help but ask … “Yes, he is” I reply through the biggest smile ever as I feel like the luckiest girl to walk the earth.)
So I wondered … Am I fickle? Confused? Or just predisposed to exaggeration?
I thought about my best (human) friends as a test: Pam, for sure. And Lisa. Well, and Ann, Sharon, Shauna … sheesh, they’re all my favorite!
I’m realizing this perception of everything being “the very best” is not limited to just my dogs.
How about favorite foods … ? Easy. Just proclaimed this over lunch with dad yesterday: Saag Paneer (yes, it deserves capitalization) with garlic naan at India House is my absolutely favorite meal of all time! (I literally danced in my chair through the entire meal, and tried not to sing.)
And so is the warm spinach salad (with garlic and goat cheese!) from Macaroni Grill. And the veggie burrito with sweet corn and onions from Bajio’s I had last night with my ex. And the fire roasted tomato soup at Paradise Cafe. And those fries from Five Guys. To die for! ColdStone’s Hunka Chunka Burnin Fudge sundae is the ultimate treat. Except for mom’s homemade cheesecake.
Hmm.
It’s the same thing with flowers, boyfriends, songs, movies, clients, neighbors, stores …
Now that I think about it, my appreciation feels like it’s on steroids. Like, someone dropped something in my water and I’m permanently dialed in on Love.
Which made me wonder more .. is it that life got so much better that everything seems so lovable and perfect? (Some people say, “Sure, Jeannette, it’s easy for you to say ‘just feel good’ when your life is so easy to do that in.”)
Or is it the other way around … I got turned onto Love and then life got even better? (I think that’s where smart money’s going.)
Or maybe it’s the same life, I just see it through a stronger Love filter now.
I don’t know guys, but I’m inviting you on this trip! Abraham says miracles can unfold as soon as tomorrow when we just start focusing on what’s going right in our world.
And when we develop a habit of appreciation for 30 days it can seem like we stepped into a whole new fabulous life.
This wasn’t necessarily a 30 day journey for me, but it can be if you would like to live in a world of “favorites.”
Here’s some 30 day inspiration from Abraham just to get you revved up for the possibilities:
We can tell you if you will put these questions to yourself, “How can I be happy when ..?” and then make your statement of what you think’s gone awry. And then do your best to be a little more happy even though that has happened, what’s going to happen is you are going to shore up your vibration until those things just fall by the wayside.
Do you know if you could answer the question and fulfill the answer, “How can I be happy when my house hasn’t sold?” If you could ask that question for about 30 days, to the point that within that 30 days you are not unhappy because the house hasn’t sold, it will sell!
If you ask the question, “How can I be happy when I haven’t found my life partner?” if you could ask that question for about 30 days until you’re happy even though you haven’t found what you consider to be your life partner, that partner would walk through the door and you would recognize them. It has to be that way! – March 2006, Phoenix
And this one is a good reminder, too:
“It doesn’t take more than 30 days to talk yourself into being a perfect match to your dream.” – August 2005, Albuquerque
I like this one, too:
Almost all of you were taught that you are inappropriate beings, here to prove worthiness. So, we could put it very simply: The only thing that has been getting in your way is one thing: you have not been appreciating you. (Hey, that’s what I said!)
So here is a process. Your goal is to find an object of attention that makes you feel good while you find it. Look for objects of attention to which you can flow an Energy of appreciation. By choosing an object of attention that causes pure positive Energy to flow through you, guess what happens to the vessel through which the pure positive Energy is flowing? You thrive. So what we would encourage you to do, for about 30 days, is get yourself on a blitz of appreciation. Make a decision that you are going to do as much appreciating in any day as you have physical time and Energy to do. – February 1994
Trust me, I know how trite and corny it sounds when someone talks about how fabulous it is just to be alive.
But it is a journey worth taking. Not because all problems and challenges disappear forever, but because they become well worth it. And pretty soon they actually become part of the good parts, too. (I’ve had glimpses of that!)
So consider this invitation to regularly notice what’s right in your world, and to revel in your answers to that. Soon you’ll find you’re also living in a world of “favorites,” too.

A stone traditionally associated with royalty and spiritual leaders of antiquity, Amethyst continues to be a popular stone among spiritual seekers. A purple variety of quartz, its regal color makes it a stone of high demand. Worn as a mark of rank for hundreds of years, it is an abundant mineral found in many locations across the globe. Amethyst manifests itself in a variety of unique structures that are particular to certain regions or mines. Available in a wide range of shades, the rule of thumb is that the deeper the purple color, the higher the grade, the more valuable the stone. The most notable quality of amethyst is found in the mines of Brazil, Uruguay, Russia, Africa, and Ontario.
Its name comes from the Greek word “amethystos” which literally means not drunken. Amethyst’s name originated from the lore of Greek Mythology. There are different variations of the tale from which it deemed its name although the basic premise consists of a story between the god, Dionysus, and a beautiful woman, Amethytos, who was trying to escape him. In an attempt to save her, the goddess, Artemis, turned her into a white stone. In Dionysus’s remorse, he poured wine over the top of the stone staining the crystals purple. Since then, the Greeks believed Amethyst to be an antidote for intoxication. In order to prevent it, they would drink wine from challises carved out of the stone.
Besides roots in Greek lore, Amethyst has been a favorite stone among rulers over the centuries. Found scattered among the many tombs of Egyptian royalty and the Anglo-Saxon graves of England, Amethyst was believed to contain mystical and superstitious powers. It was largely employed in antiquity for use as intaglios and worn as amulets. The Russian Empress, Catherine the Great, loved Amethyst so much that she sent thousands of miners into the Urals to bring back as much as they could carry. Leonardo da Vinci once wrote that the gem dissipates evil thoughts and quickens the intelligence, an insight that must have surfaced from working directly with the stone.
On an energetic level, Amethyst is a stone that assists one to successfully experience states of inner awareness. It gently instills a profound tranquility to the mind that quiets everyday habitual thought processes. For people who desire to achieve a state of serenity through meditation, but find it challenging to enter the stillness, can easily transform from one reality to another with the aid of Amethyst.
Working with Amethyst is like being handed a golden key that opens a gate to higher consciousness. Its peaceful vibration has such an immediate calming effect on the emotions and physical body, that one is able to effortlessly experience a deep state of physical relaxation. Achieving peace of this magnitude, a person is able to easily let go of past thoughts, beliefs, and self-centered notions. In the letting go of illusions of what one believes to be real, transformation occurs. Amethyst opens the mind to usher in a wisdom that flows directly from the infinite divine source. As it floods into ones consciousness, a deeper understanding of one’s purpose for living brings clarity to the divine universal forces at work. Once the mind is able to grasp the knowledge of an intelligence that is greater than itself is it able to embrace the concept of a higher self. This alignment initiates one’s ability to trust in the guidance that comes from within. Knowing that one is equipped with an inner guidance system, they are able to intuitively grasp the essence of true peace and well-being, a harmonic state that was present before birth.
Receiving wisdom of this nature profoundly inspires one to redefine their belief in what is possible. Once a person aligns with the truth of their BEING, they discover a renewed zest to transform areas of their life that are not in alignment with the new knowledge that they have acquired. As new ideas surface as to how one can begin shaping a life that is according to what they really desire, Amethyst assists in the process of transforming self-limiting or self-defeating thoughts to more productive ways of thinking. Amethyst then carries the direction of the newly formed thoughts and ideas created during the imaginative process of dreaming to the depths of the soul where it is implemented.
With Amethyst, the opportunity to shift into expanded states of awareness is within your reach. Allow the calming effects of the purple ray to calm your mind and bestow peace upon your soul. You will achieve an awareness of self that you never knew was possible. Let the universe fill you with its wisdom and guide your course. It is time to feel the flow of eternal freedom.
