Are You Positive or Negative?

Posted by at 25th March, 2010

Coacheva346 Magnetism is a wonderful thing. We often hear that someone "has a magnetic personality", or that they are "full of magnetism", even that opposites attract "like magnets". Why the fascination with magnetism? Perhaps because the term magnetism implies that the opportunity exists for something to be drawn to you easily and effortlessly. What if that thing is success, fame, or how about money?

Money is the thing that the majority of the population craves, but most people feel they don’t have enough of. Why is that? Since we know how strong the powers of attraction are, and that like attracts like, the answer lies in the perception "but most people feel they don’t have enough of."

For example, let’s suppose that you are facing a bag of money. You REALLY want that bag of money. You are standing there thinking of all of the things you can’t afford because you don’t have the bag of money. You are focused on all the things you can’t be, do, or have.

Money has a positive ionic charge, your face has a positive charge ( ) and the back of your head has a negative charge (-). The laws of the Universe say that you and the bag of money are going to continue to repel each other.

So let’s imagine that you become frustrated and turn away from the bag of money. (Your negative charge is now facing the positive charge of the bag of money.) You would like to have it, and can think of all of the positive things you would like to do with it, and you are now vibrating positive thoughts. The Law of Attraction says that you are now in a place where you can attract the bag of money. You have become a money magnet.

When you take a snapshot of your current scenario can you state with sincerity that you are magnetizing money? Have you let go of any limiting beliefs that you have about money? Like financial success is something that happens to others, or that you are undeserving? If money and financial success is your goal how can you become that all powerful magnet?

Allow it!

Allow yourself to let go of any negative thoughts and limiting beliefs that have blocked your success. Allow yourself to believe that you can have the success that you desire. Allow yourself to have the courage to pursue the avenues that will lead you to your financial success. Allow yourself to magnetize the people and scenarios that will help your team assemble effortlessly. Allow your spirit to dance with the knowledge that your have the power to bring what you want to fruition.

You do have what it takes to become a money magnet. You just have to believe in yourself, believe in your goals, and trust that the Universe will do its part once you’ve done yours.

Physician Heal Thyself (Kim Falconer Guest Post)

Posted by at 24th March, 2010

One of my favorite people on the planet offers us her latest insights. Enjoy today’s guest post by renowned author and astrologer, Kim Falconer:

Becoming ‘resistant’ to illness is a top priority for most individuals.

This stance is reflected in the media and TV commercials, community programs and government policies, but as the saying goes, what we resist persists. It makes you wonder, does fighting dis-ease really serve our wellbeing?

Consider these commonly held beliefs about health:

  1. Illness is difficult, bad and isolating
  2. Doctors know more about the body than we do
  3. Symptoms are the enemy and must be suppressed

In this paradigm, illness is a threat. We do what we can to prevent disease and if that doesn’t work, we fight it, right? That’s what I used to think before I studied under a wonderful astrologer named Howard Sasportas.

He said, illness can be understood as a message that something in life is not right and needs adjusting.

Illness is a message? It seemed like a strange notion but as soon as I started looking at dis-ease in a new way, it made sense. In this paradigm the beliefs are different:

  1. Illness is instructional (and the instructions come from you!)
  2. You know more about your body than anyone else
  3. Symptoms are a message to be read

So how do we read these messages? My two favourite tools are active imagination and astrology.

Active imagination is a technique Jeannette taught me a few years ago. It is a way of engaging with the body that brings amazing results. The idea is to relax in a quiet space and ask your ‘symptoms’ what is wrong.

For example, if I have an upset stomach I lie down, close my eyes and observe. I allow my imagination to begin a dialog with my stomach, asking without judgment what it needs, wants and has to offer. The key phrase here is without judgment. I have to get light and easy with whatever my stomach has to say.

The other tool I use is medical astrology. Each sign of the zodiac rules, or links, to a particular part of the body, starting with Aries ruling the head and ending with Pisces ruling the feet. Knowing these connections can bring huge ‘ah ha’ moments.

For example, I know the sign Cancer rules the stomach. This water sign has to do with making connections, feeling nurtured and ‘needed’ by others. If my stomach is upset, my nurturing life may be out of balance. With that knowledge I can start to ask the right questions such as, ‘Am I feeling loved. Am I looking after myself?’ The alternative is to take an antacid and hope for the best.

Another common example is a headache. The head is ruled by Aries, the sign of independence and action. Aries likes to initiate projects, start the ball rolling and above all, be the boss. If I get a headache I ask, where am I not being independent and assertive in my life? Where have I taken a subordinate role when really I want to be top dog? Again, I can take an aspirin, or I can listen to the message.

If we treat aches and pains and even life threatening diseases like spam and ‘bulk delete’ without reading the message, a great opportunity for true wellbeing is missed.

Here is a condensed list of the astrological signs and their traditional rulerships:

  • Aries – assertiveness – head
  • Taurus – sensation – throat
  • Gemini – communication – shoulders, arms, hands, lungs
  • Cancer – nurturing – stomach
  • Leo – creativity – heart
  • Virgo –discernment – upper digestive tract
  • Libra – relationship – kidneys and lower back
  • Scorpio – transformation – sexual organs and lower intestines
  • Sagittarius – exploration – hips and thighs
  • Capricorn – enterprise – skin, skeletal system and knees
  • Aquarius – originality – nervous system, circulation and ankles
  • Pisces – spirituality – the psyche and feet

Are there any recurring symptoms in your life? Have you taken a moment to ask your body What’s up, Doc? I’d like to know what you think.

Love

See things as they are~

See things as they are~

As you progress on a spiritual path you realize a few universal principals:

Blame only dis-empowers you and blocks the life of your dreams.

The past is an illusion and only weighs upon you.

If you are not being loving with others or in your life, you are not being loving with yourself.

Everything and anything you desire or prefer is in your love. When you experience love, you experience the universe. When you experience a lack of love, your world becomes very small.

Energy Dynamics in Relationship

Posted by at 23rd March, 2010

Last week I had a seemingly random thought about how it was time to call an old friend I hadn’t spoken to since last year.

So I dialed him up and asked how he was doing.

He was taken aback by my call, which he explained at dinner a couple nights later.

Apparently just a few hours before I rang, he’d been thinking of me.

In a not-so-nice way.

He had said to himself that he was done with this “one way friendship” where he has to make all the efforts to connect and I only respond occasionally to his messages.  He was fed up that I never took the initiative to reach out.

So it spooked him a little when I rang just a few hours after he mentally wrote me off.

He thought this was more evidence that women respond best when treated somewhat disdainfully, because they dismiss “nice guys” who do all the right things.

And he shared a bunch of examples from his own life and women he knew to prove his point:

  • Like, how when he shows up at the club not looking or smelling his best, women are all over him.  But when he cleans up nice, he doesn’t get any attention at all.
  • Or when he shows no interest in a girl, she’s practically pounding down his door.  But when he says and does all the right things, she doesn’t want anything to do with him.

I know there are dating experts out there teaching guys to “pick up chicks” by being somewhat condescending and withholding to women.  And getting results from it.

But I don’t think the proper conclusion here is that women need to be treated poorly in order to capture and maintain their interest.

The only reason anything changes is because the energy changed.  And there are lots of ways to create those energetic changes.

Like giving up your resistance about being the only one who calls – that’s one way to shift the energy.

(As proven last week, it gets results.)

Changing the story you tell is another way to shift the energy dynamics.

(Maybe instead of saying “She never calls,” it might behoove one desiring change to entertain a story that goes more like “She’s probably thinking about me even when I don’t know it” or even “She’s good about staying in touch.”)

Another way to shift the energy dynamics in the relationship is to … well, this is where I open it up for conversation with you.

How do you shift the energy when the relationship could use some tweaking?

Looking forward to hearing from you!
